Not many Chinese families that are part of the Great Diaspora to Nanyang have historical records that span beyond 3 generations. In March 2008, John, Shuh Jen & I embarked on our epic journey to our ancestral home in Dapu, Meixian County, Guangdong Province, to visit the birthplace of my parents. The village ancestral halls actually kept genealogy records for the past 20 generations dating back more than 5 centuries. This blog will continue the Loh family's records for posterity.
